Weather in the mountains
A low-pressure system centred over northern Europe will draw masses of cool, moist air towards the Alps.
Later this morning, further showers will develop in the mountains. The rain will then spread to most mountain ranges. The snow line will be around 1,400 m.
Mountain weather tomorrow
High-altitude winds will be blowing from the north. A Föhn wind will be blowing on the southern side of the Alps.
The morning will be mainly cloudy with occasional light snowfall. In the afternoon, clear spells will move in from west to east. The remaining snowfall in the north-east is likely to ease off. Cold northerly winds, at times strong.
